Default Thameslink ticket checks - or lack of!

That situation should never arise, as barriers should never be in use
when staff are not present. This is because an evacuation in
emergency without a means of opening the barriers would present too
much of a hazard.

The subconscious (body clock etc) has surprising abilities at
times; I seem to have this uncanny ability to wake automatically
two or three minutes before my alarm goes off - almost every day!

Then I discovered that the (clockwork, not electric) clock rang the
alarm for a minute, then paused for a minute, then rang for a minute,

My problem with sleeping on public transport (or practically any
transport for that matter) is that there's nowhere to rest my head.

Central Line drivers usually bring a pillow.

Something to remember next month while they're all striking over
safety.
