Does anyone know why the office handling photocards for London Transport
is in Hull?

Cheaper workforce?

Don't you mean cheaper, harder working workforce?

Well there's a surprise.

From the horse's mouth:

http://www.tube.tfl.gov.uk/content/t...ndtjan2004.pdf

Page 27 - "Holders of valid 'Student' photocards are entitled to buy
'Discount' rate Travelcards, Bus Passess and DLR Flyer/Shuttle period
tickets"

Page 6 - gives details for students.

Page 18 - Discount Travelcards. 30% less than the equivalent full
price Travelcard.
