replacement of the other old Tube stock, the Northern line Battersea
extension, etc, etc. So more fool you if you don't use the Journey Planner
before undertaking a weekend journey.


I think I'll just stick to the car in future.

They do.


So why do they need to close for weekends too? Isn't 8 or so hours every
day 365 days a year enough?

It is closer to four hours each night. Clearly, the problem is that TfL do not have someone with your expertise in critical path analysis, modern signal installation, and labor allocation, running these upgrades. You need to apply for the job ASAP.
