Apparently work is starting on the new development at battersey today. Anyone
know when work on the northern line extension to there will begin? -- Spud |

TfL have applied for deemed planning permission. The Govt agreed in the Budget earlier this year to back a £1bn loan to fund the extension. TfL project page - http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/proj...mes/21614.aspx If all the approvals proceed to programme construction will start in 2015. I thought that the United States wanted to fund the project for its planned embassy in Wandsworth. |

Battersea has been in Wandsworth since 1965! -- Colin Rosenstiel |

Battersea has been in the London Borough Of Wandsworth since 1965. That,
as I'm sure you realise, does not mean that Battersea has lost its separate identity. |

Its separate identity as a sack of **** area full of free loaders who all inherited their money and never worked in their lives. I remember that.

Better than nearby areas full of free loaders who come from assorted ******** areas of the planet with all their boo-hoo poor little me sob stories, have never contributed to this country and have no intention of doing so other than to riot, possibly so they feel more at home. -- Spud |
